While you know us as content creators of The Wise Idiot, there is a lot that we constantly read, talk, think, analyze and hypothesize about. Hence we thought: why not share our learnings with others?
Hastākshar will be our weekly e-mail series – where we talk about ideas, emotions, culture, and everything else that impacts humans.
Today, let’s read something from Divyank’s mind:
The problem with people, in general, is that they just do things to complete assigned tasks. Despite having the best interests in their hearts, they complete their tasks with only one agenda in mind: ticking the checkbox of their lives.
I can find these people everywhere: they can be your parents, teachers, friends or colleagues.
- The problem with such work is: they stop asking why they are doing it and just do it for the sake of doing it. This sometimes removes the fun out of it.
- It becomes a process for them to complete a task. If not done, they get worried, anxious, and angry.
- Their life goals change. Completing those self-assigned responsibilities take out the essence of life.
- Any change, cultural shift, new outcomes create a confusing and alarming situation for them, making them vulnerable.
- Since they like to follow such a path, they push others to be like them, too.
