Pranaam yatri,
This week was amazing. And full of surprises, wasn’t it?
On one hand, you have the God of Mischief, Loki, who evolves and becomes the God of the multiverse.
Quite a big jump.
And equally thrilling victory was at Wankhede Stadium, where Mohd Shami took 7 wickets and paved the way for India to reach the ICC World Cup Final.
He’s a hero to many.
The world praises them. Showers them with love. Looks at them with awe.
But what would they be feeling about themselves?
This reminds me of a little story.
The teacher is checking every student’s homework.
He comes to a little boy’s desk and checks his book, too.
The smart teacher observes something and asks the student,
“I see two different handwritings here. Tell me the truth. What has happened?”
The boy honestly replies, “The good handwriting belongs to my mother. The bad handwriting is mine.”
The story ends, and the moral starts.
There are two different handwritings In our books, too.
One: the beautiful handwriting of the world. That’s the praise, love, and awe.
Second: the bad writing – which is ours.
Wisdom lies in not believing just the first.
Let’s be realistic and keep working on things that hurt us.
We have a long way to go.
