In the same town as Arya, Siddhi and Ganga lived a rich businessman.
After his untimely death, his son Yashvardhan took over the business.
Since the business was well-set, Yashvardhan hardly had to look into day to day matters.
Their trusted munimji Trivedi took Yashvardhan under his wing.
The mentee also developed immense trust and admiration, looking at Trivedi as a father figure.
After all, Trivedi had earned this reputation over 30+ years of loyal service to the family business.
But not everything goes well all the time.
Despite having immense wealth, Yashvardhan seemed disturbed.
For some reason, he wanted to know exactly how much he had.
He resisted the urge to raise this question for a few weeks, but Trivedi saw that something was bothering Yashvardhan.
He had to identify the problem and solve it.
“What’s wrong, Yash beta?” He asked over lunch one day.
“Nothing, the food is excellent!”
“You very well know that I’m not talking about the food. Something is on your mind. Share it with me.”
After a little hesitation, he spoke.
“Trivedi-ji, I’ve never known how much my family owns. But you would know it very well. Please tell me.”
“Oh, such a simple request!” He made a quick call.
“On the basis of last night’s closing report, you have enough wealth to last seven generations.”
“Oh, seven generations…” Yashvardhan said blankly.
And then quietly returned to his lunch.
Trivedi suspected that something was wrong.
So the next day, he brought up the topic.
“Yash beta, you seemed a little upset yesterday after hearing my answer. Do you feel that we don’t have enough?”
“Yes, what will the eighth generation do? We need to ensure that they have enough, too. We need to ensure that they’re taken care of.”
Trivedi paused for a moment. He thought of a plan.
“Sure beta, I’ll come up with something by tomorrow. It will be the first thing we discuss when you get to the office.”
“Thank you so much, Trivedi-ji. I’m really relieved to hear this. You have no idea how many sleepless nights I’ve spent in this worry. But dawn is now here. We’ll solve this. Together.”
While we will get to know about the plan next week, please reply with your views:
What do you think Trivedi has in mind?
Will he be able to help Yashvardhan?
More importantly, do you think he should help Yashvardhan?
